Automated Operative Reports
Customizable operative reports. When information is captured in the OR, there is no longer a need to dictate, transcribe, and review. Ortech will automatically create the documentation and push it into an EMR. This feature saves time while reducing errors.

Surgeons like the way this works. On average, orthopaedic surgeons spend 80 hours per year dictating. They’ve come to expect data collection to be intrusive and are surprised to learn it can be time-saving and efficient. With Ortech’s operative report feature, they spend less time dictating and more time focused on patient care and revenue generation.
Implant Library
Accurate capture of implant data is vital to any site. Before Ortech, the barcode had to be removed and placed on a document or someone scribbled down the barcode, often resulting in an error. In a product recall, it was near impossible to identify the people affected.
With barcode scanning technology, the product becomes validated and has created the largest product code library, updated weekly with all pertinent data points; all accurately captured.
Now, you can run a list of patients affected within an hour. We can also record any wasted devices from an inventory management standpoint. If a barcode isn’t recognized by our system, we are automatically notified and the user is prompted for the minimum amount of detail needed. That data is verified by an Ortech representative and any further details are added.
EMR Integration
Ortech integrates seamlessly with EMRs in order to automate data-capture processes for health systems. Ortech has integrated its system with almost all EMR platforms including:

Ortech uses real-time HL7 interfaces or other customized interfaces if required. With rich experience integrating Ortech with these systems, we are able to reduce duplicated efforts and the need to capture data manually. By automating data capture directly from the surgeon or patient, you have the most accurate information – that can be populated directly to the EMR.*
* Note: EMR integration requires some setup by your local interfacing team as well. Ortech coordinates and tests directly with them to make the process as smooth as possible.
Outcome Capture Module
Because Ortech is web-based, patient-reported outcomes can be captured on any existing hardware from tablets to touch screens, laptops or desktops.
Based on the presets, business rules, and case specifics, a certain set of questions is automatically defined for the patient. He or she easily navigates through, clicking next after each question and has the ability to quit and return where they left off.
Visual analog scales, diagrams of the body and patient satisfaction questions are just a few of the options you can choose to customize your surveys.
To encourage patient compliance, all responses are held in the registry immediately after it’s completed. An optional clinic summary document indicates to the patient the progress made over a treatment plan to get better.
Patient self-serve module
If optimizing clinic flow is required or you would like to capture outcomes from patients who are unable to make it into the clinic, secure email driven surveys can be triggered automatically based on follow-up parameters set by you.
